I am so totally serious when I tell you, I.had.no.idea when it came to what we were using in our home. It is seriously an entire class to just go over everything... Yeah, so just to give you an example: Sodium Laurel Sulfate, parabens, pthalates (say that three times fast), Triclosan, sodium hydroxide, and the list keeps going and going.

So, let's go back to the beginning: Imagine a beautiful spring day. Got the picture, good! The desire to clean the home, open the windows, sparkly clean windows, counters is in full swing. BUT wait! One cleaner, two cleaner, three cleaner and more. I have to leave the bathroom to catch my breath. Why is the quest for the sparkle require those very things that make you run for fresh air? Why is the quest for the sparkly require the very things that result in us finding health issues down the line? Because I didn't know. Did you? According to the EWG website, "Industry doesn’t have to test chemicals for safety before they go on the market. EWG steps in where government leaves off, giving you the resources to protect yourself and your family." If you visit their site, you can read all their consumer guides and become educated, in the know! http://www.ewg.org/consumer-guides

What am I using now? One of my very favorite cleaners of all time! I am in LOVE with the Young Living Household Cleaner. Why? It smells good, it cleans awesome and I just use this one cleaner right here. Can I stay in the same room and breathe? Yep! Can I let my kids clean with it and not fear they are going to harm their skin? Yep! I am telling you, I just use this ONE thing.
It is super concentrated, I dilute it 30:1 for almost every single thing I clean. There are a couple of things I do around that house, where I use the Thieves Cleaner + some goodness to make things really sparkly. BUT I will tell you all about that in another entry! Happy House Cleaning! Happy Respiratory! Goodbye dirt and all you carry around with you! #thievescleaner #itrocks #onecleanernow #noneedtorunforair #happylungs #essentiallyjoilful
